I’m Dan, an American photographer based in Milan, documenting destination wedding weekends across Italy.
The couples I work with care deeply about the experience they’re creating. They want their wedding to feel personal, immersive, emotionally alive, and fully lived, not rushed through or performed for the camera.
That’s where I come in.
My approach is documentary-first, with calm guidance when it helps. I pay attention to the emotional fabric of the weekend: the anticipation in the morning, the energy at dinner, the quiet moments between people, the feeling of finally being there together in Italy with everyone you love.
During portraits, I gently guide couples into connection rather than posing them into perfection. I want you to feel the moment, not just recreate what a wedding photo is supposed to look like. Over time, people tend to let their guard down around me. The camera becomes less important. The experience becomes the focus.
As an American living in Italy, I also naturally bridge two worlds. I understand the experience of planning a wedding here from abroad, and I bring a calm, grounded presence that helps people feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the weekend.
