I’m Dan, a Los Angeles native based in Milan, Italy where I live with my high school sweetheart and our son, Max. 

I travel the world as a destination wedding photographer, and even a decade into this profession, I still tear up during wedding ceremonies. I’m always struck by the beauty of a community of family and friends coming together to witness two people commit their lives to one another. Being entrusted to create a visual time capsule of those memories is a tremendous privilege.

My photographic style is a product of my background in fine art studies and training in photojournalism. I seek out light and contrast while chasing action, organic connection and emotion. I strive to capture a story with every image – from the big moments to the smallest of details – and I like to let those stories unfold on their own. 

While I frequently photograph weddings and elopements throughout Italy, I travel everywhere from California’s wine country to the remote cliffs of Iceland for the job. No destination is too far-flung. My photography has been featured in Rangefinder Magazine, Fearless Photography, The Knot, Junebug Weddings, People Magazine, Huffington Post and the New York Times.
